On general quasi-variational inequalities

open access: yesJournal of King Saud University - Science, 2012
AbstractA new class of general quasi-variational inequalities involving two operators is introduced and studied. Using essentially the projection operator technique, we establish the equivalence between the general quasi-variational inequalities and the fixed-point problem and the Wiener–Hopf equations.

Asymptotic properties of cross‐classified sampling designs

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Statistics, EarlyView.
Abstract We investigate the family of cross‐classified sampling designs across an arbitrary number of dimensions. We introduce a variance decomposition that enables the derivation of general asymptotic properties for these designs and the development of straightforward and asymptotically unbiased variance estimators.

Auxiliary principle and iterative algorithm for a system of generalized set-valued strongly nonlinear mixed implicit quasi-variational-like inequalities

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2016
In this paper, the auxiliary principle technique is extended to study a system of generalized set-valued strongly nonlinear mixed implicit quasi-variational-like inequalities problem in Hilbert spaces.

How Changing Narratives About the Future Shape Policymaking for the Long Term

open access: yesEuropean Policy Analysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT How can we explain decisions by governments to engage in policy investments—accepting short‐term costs in return for anticipated gains in the longer term—after previously sustaining the status quo? Our article examines the role of narratives in changing expectations about the future as a key driver of intertemporal policymaking. In light of an

Random generalized set-valued strongly nonlinear implicit quasi-variational inequalities

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2000
The purpose of this paper is to introduce a class of new random generalized set-valued strongly nonlinear implicit quasi-variational inequalities, to construct new random iterative algorithms, and to give some existence theorems of random solutions for ...

Existence of projected solutions for quasi-variational hemivariational inequality

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica
In this short article, we prove the existence of projected solutions to a class of quasi-variational hemivariational inequalities with non-self-constrained mapping, which generalizes the results of Allevi et al.

On the well-posedness of differential quasi-variational-hemivariational inequalities

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2020
The goal of this paper is to discuss the well-posedness and the generalized well-posedness of a new kind of differential quasi-variational-hemivariational inequality (DQHVI) in Hilbert spaces.

Do Institutions Make Street‐Level Bureaucrats Prosocial? Agent‐Based Evidence Shows That New Public Management Does Not

open access: yesEuropean Policy Analysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Does street‐level bureaucrats' (SLBs) willingness to sacrifice their own self‐interests to meet the needs of their clients vary depending on their contexts? To date, it has been very challenging to empirically examine how SLBs who have different orientations toward social values might act in different institutional and administrative contexts.

On Abstract Economies and Their Applications

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
We establish a new equilibrium existence theorem of generalized abstract economies with general preference correspondences. As an application, we derive an existence theorem of generalized quasi-variational inequalities in the general ...
