Action functional and quasi-potential for the Burgers equation in a bounded interval
Consider the viscous Burgers equation $u_t + f(u)_x = \epsilon\, u_{xx}$ on the interval $[0,1]$ with the inhomogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions $u(t,0) = \rho_0$, $u(t,1) = \rho_1$.

Abstract Our general interest is in global trade loss from livestock pathogens, specifically exports. We adopt a causal inference approach that considers animal disease outbreaks over time as non‐staggered binary treatments with the potential for switching in (infection) and out of treatment (recovery) within the sample period. The outcome evolution of

On the well-posedness of differential quasi-variational-hemivariational inequalities
The goal of this paper is to discuss the well-posedness and the generalized well-posedness of a new kind of differential quasi-variational-hemivariational inequality (DQHVI) in Hilbert spaces.

Generalized vector quasi-variational-like inequalities [PDF]
The authors consider a general class of vector quasi-variational-like inequalities, involving nonlinear terms and set-valued mappings, in topological vector spaces. By using extended vector diagonal concavity and continuity type properties, they establish existence results for this problem and several of its particular cases.

Neighborhood social environments and mental health among youth and adults in public housing
Abstract Neighborhoods influence health in part through social processes. However, little is known about how multiple neighborhood social processes co‐occur, or about within (vs. between) neighborhood variation in social processes and health. This study asked how residents of a large public housing development describe their neighborhood and used ...

Between public service and market: Portraying the bifront university in a platformized world
Abstract This paper contributes to the international debate on the changes affecting recruitment and orientation processes toward higher education. Based on qualitative research involving 19 Italian public universities, the study analyses the transformations in communication, recruitment and orientation activities within platformization and increasing ...

Dynkin games with incomplete and asymmetric information [PDF]
We study the value and the optimal strategies for a two-player zero-sum optimal stopping game with incomplete and asymmetric information. In our Bayesian set-up, the drift of the underlying diffusion process is unknown to one player (incomplete ...

On the Generalized Quasi-variational Inequality Problems
The authors have obtained many existence results for generalized quasi-variational inequalities problems by using the fixed point techniques. The results obtained in this paper contain the previously known results as special cases.
