A bridge between convexity and quasiconvexity
We introduce a notion of convexity with respect to a one-dimensional operator and with this notion find a one-parameter family of different convexities that interpolates between classical convexity and quasiconvexity. We show that, for this interpolation

Natural or Unnatural Monopolies in UK Telecommunications? [PDF]
This paper analyses whether scale economies exists in the UK telecommunications industry. The approach employed differs from other UK studies in that panel data for a range of companies is used.

Conjugacy and subgroups of word-hyperbolic groups [PDF]
This thesis describes a number of algorithms and properties relating to Gromov’s word-hyperbolic groups. A fuller outline of the thesis is given, and a number of basic concepts relating to metric spaces, hyperbolicity and automaticity are first ...

Potentials for A-Quasiconvexity [PDF]
We show that each constant rank operator A admits an exact potential B in frequency space. We use this fact to show that the notion of A -quasiconvexity can be tested against compactly supported vector fields. We also show that A -free Young measures are generated by sequences Buj , modulo shifts by the barycentre.

Quasiconvexity preserving property for fully nonlinear nonlocal parabolic equations
This paper is concerned with a general class of fully nonlinear parabolic equations with monotone nonlocal terms. We investigate the quasiconvexity preserving property of positive, spatially coercive viscosity solutions.
