Quasielastic electron scattering
Physical Review C, 1974Data and interpretation are presented for inelastic electron scattering in the quasielastic region from nine target nuclei ranging from lithium to lead at an incident energy of 500 MeV and a scattering angle of 60\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}. The average kinetic and separation energies of nucleons in these nuclei are deduced.

Parity-violating quasielastic electron scattering
Nuclear Physics A, 1992Abstract Parity-violating quasielastic electron scattering from nuclei is studied within the context of the relativistic Fermi gas model. Three issues are discussed: (i) the merits of such studies for obtaining new information about single-nucleon form factors, especially the roles played by the axial-vector and strangeness form factors, (ii) the ...

Quasielastic scattering in PrAl3
Physica B: Condensed Matter, 1997Abstract Using the long-wavelength polarisation analysis neutron spectrometer (LONGPOL) fitted with time-of-flight analysis, the crystal field excitation spectrum of the rare earth trialuminide PrAl 3 was measured, and transitions of 4.5 and 3.7 meV were observed to take place between states of the Pr 3+ ion.

Quasielastic electron scattering in quasiparticle approach
Physical Review C, 1992A quasiparticle Hamiltonian, which includes the effects of Hartree-Fock and correlations, has been introduced through a parametrization of the radial shape of the effective mass ${\mathit{m}}^{\mathrm{*}}$(r)/m. Within this phenomenological quasiparticle approach the longitudinal and transverse response functions of quasielastic electron scatterings ...

Quasielastic Light Scattering from Diamond
Physical Review Letters, 1985Strong quasielastic features have been found in light scattering from diamond in the frequency range 0 to \ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{} 200 GHz and have been investigated as a function of wave-vector transfer ($Q$) and temperature ($T$). The evolution of a relatively narrow Lorentzian component (\ensuremath{\sim} 10 GHz) demonstrates for the first time ...
