A unique continuation property for linear elliptic systems and nonresonance problems

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2001
The aim of this paper is to study the existence of solutions for a quasilinear elliptic system where the nonlinear term is a Caratheodory function on a bounded domain of $mathbb{R}^N$, by proving the well known unique continuation property for elliptic ...

A Microfluidic Platform for Actin‐Based Membrane Remodeling Reveals the Stabilizing Role of Branched Actin Networks on Lipid Microdomains

open access: yesSmall Science, Volume 5, Issue 10, October 2025.
A microfluidic assay to study actin‐driven shape changes of giant unilamellar vesicles (GUVs) is developed. This system enables high‐throughput analysis of membrane remodeling and reveals how actin networks and lipid domains influence each other. It offers a powerful tool to dissect membrane deformation mechanisms in controlled environments. Cell shape

Multiplicity of positive solutions for a critical quasilinear elliptic system with concave and convex nonlinearities

open access: yes, 2012
In this paper, by using the Lusternik–Schnirelmann category, we obtain a multiplicity result for a quasilinear elliptic system with both concave and convex nonlinearities and critical growth terms in bounded ...

Brezis–Nirenberg type results for the anisotropic p$p$‐Laplacian

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 112, Issue 4, October 2025.
Abstract In this paper, we consider a quasilinear elliptic and critical problem with Dirichlet boundary conditions in presence of the anisotropic p$p$‐Laplacian. The critical exponent is the usual p★$p^{\star }$ such that the embedding W01,p(Ω)⊂Lp★(Ω)$W^{1,p}_{0}(\Omega) \subset L^{p^{\star }}(\Omega)$ is not compact.

Partial regularity for quasilinear nonuniformly elliptic systems

open access: yesLe Matematiche, 1991
We prove the partial regularity of the weak solutions of the quasilinear nonuniformely elliptic system div(A(∇u))=0 under an ellipticity condition which lies between strong ellipticity and Legendre-Hadamard condition.

Diagnosing the Rapid Loss of Outer Radiation Belt Electrons Due To Strong Chorus‐Driven Wave‐Particle Interactions Along an Electron Injection Path

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, Volume 130, Issue 8, August 2025.
Abstract Multi‐spacecraft data demonstrate that intense chorus waves are excited during electron injection events that drive rapid radiation belt electron loss across a limited energy range from ∼ ${\sim} $100 to 300 keV on sub‐drift timescales through strong pitch angle diffusion.

Existence of Ground States for Quasilinear Nonhomogeneous Elliptic Systems

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 2000
The authors prove the existence of positive radial solutions (decaying to zero as \(|x|\to\infty\)) of the quasilinear system \(-\text{div} (A_i(|\nabla u_i|)\nabla u_i)=\sum_j a_{ij}(|x|)f_{ij}(u_j)\), \(x\in\mathbb R^N\), \(N>1\), \(i=1,2,\dots,n\). The functions \(A_i,a_{ij},f_{ij}\) are continuous, \(A_i>0\), \(a_{ij}\geq 0\), \(f_{ij}(0)=0\), \(f_{

Optimal control of nonsmooth system governed by quasi-linear elliptic equations

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1997
In this paper, we discuss a class of optimal control problems of nonsmooth systems governed by quasi-linear elliptic partial differential equations, give the existence of the problem.

Existence of a local strong solution to the beam–polymeric fluid interaction system

open access: yesMathematische Nachrichten, Volume 298, Issue 7, Page 2327-2379, July 2025.
Abstract We construct a unique local strong solution to the finitely extensible nonlinear elastic (FENE) dumbbell model of Warner‐type for an incompressible polymer fluid (described by the Navier–Stokes–Fokker–Planck equations) interacting with a flexible elastic shell.
