Abstract Correlates the Quaternary marine, fluvial, and glacial deposits of France, and concludes that there were only two glacial phases (Riss and Wuerm) separated by a minor interglacial period, which were due to an extension of oceanic climatic conditions rather than a general lowering of the temperature.
