A Unifying Approach to Quaternion Adaptive Filtering: Addressing the Gradient and Convergence [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
A novel framework for a unifying treatment of quaternion valued adaptive filtering algorithms is introduced. This is achieved based on a rigorous account of quaternion differentiability, the proposed I-gradient, and the use of augmented quaternion ...

Autophagy in cancer and protein conformational disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Autophagy plays a crucial role in numerous biological processes, including protein and organelle quality control, development, immunity, and metabolism. Hence, dysregulation or mutations in autophagy‐related genes have been implicated in a wide range of human diseases.

Generalized constant ratio surfaces and quaternions

open access: yesKuwait Journal of Science, 2017
In this study, we show that the generalized constant ratio surfaces can be obtained by the quaternion product of a unitquaternion and a pure quaternion.

The maximal and minimal ranks of a quaternion matrix expression with applications

open access: yesJournal of the Egyptian Mathematical Society, 2013
In this paper, we establish the formulas of the extermal ranks of the quaternion matrix expression f(X1,X2) = C7 − A4X1B4 − A5X2B5 where X1, X2 are variant quaternion matrices subject to quaternion matrix equations A1X1 = C1, A2X1 = C2, A3X1 = C3, X2B1 =

Quaternionic quantum mechanics for N = 1, 2, 4 supersymmetry

open access: yesBeni-Suef University Journal of Basic and Applied Sciences, 2022
Background Quaternions have emerged as powerful tools in higher-dimensional quantum mechanics as they provide homogeneous four-dimensional structure in quantum field theories, offer compact representations, and incorporate spin naturally.

Global Stability Analysis of Fractional-Order Quaternion-Valued Bidirectional Associative Memory Neural Networks

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
We study the global asymptotic stability problem with respect to the fractional-order quaternion-valued bidirectional associative memory neural network (FQVBAMNN) models in this paper.

A stepwise emergence of evolution in the RNA world

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
How did biological evolution emerge from chemical reactions? This perspective proposes a gradual scenario of self‐organization among RNA molecules, where catalytic feedback on random mixtures plays the central role. Short oligomers cross‐ligate, and self‐assembly enables heritable variations. An event of template‐externalization marks the transition to

Signal flow graph and control of realizable autonomous nonlinear Chen model with quaternion variables

open access: yesAlexandria Engineering Journal, 2020
In this work, we continue our study of autonomous nonlinear dynamical systems with quaternion variables. We present a novel chaotic Chen system with quaternion variables. This system in real form is high (nine) dimensional.

Modifications in FLAP's second cytosolic loop influence 5‐LOX interaction, inhibitor binding, and leukotriene formation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The enzyme 5‐lipoxygenase (5‐LOX) catalyzes the first step in the biosynthesis of leukotrienes (LTs) involved in inflammatory pathophysiology. After cellular stimulation, 5‐LOX translocates to the nucleus, interacting with the 5‐LOX‐activating protein (FLAP) to form LTA4 from arachidonic acid (AA).
