Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Stability of quaternionic linear systems

open access: yes, 2006
The main goal of this paper is to characterize stability and bounded-input-bounded-output (BIBO)-stability of quaternionic dynamical systems. After defining the quaternion skew-field, algebraic properties of quaternionic polynomials such as divisibility ...

Splitting of differential quaternion algebras

open access: yes, 2023
We study differential splitting fields of quaternion algebras with derivations. A quaternion algebra over a field $k$ is always split by a quadratic extension of $k$.

A Convolution Theorem Related to Quaternion Linear Canonical Transform

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2019
We introduce the two-dimensional quaternion linear canonical transform (QLCT), which is a generalization of the classical linear canonical transform (LCT) in quaternion algebra setting. Based on the definition of quaternion convolution in the QLCT domain

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Quaternion-based complexity study of human postural sway time series

open access: yes, 2009
A multidimensional approach for the study of the center of pressure (CoP) was selected. During the work the dataset was characterized recurring to algorithms taken from Chaotic and Stochastic time series analysis.

The quaternion-Pell sequence

open access: yes, 2018
© 2018, © 2018 Taylor & Francis. In this paper, we define the quaternion-Pell sequence and derive the generating matrix of the sequence. Then we produce the semigroups using the multiplicative orders of the generating matrix of the quaternion-Pell ...

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

On quaternion analyticity : enabling quaternion-valued nonlinear adaptive filtering.

open access: yes, 2012
The strict Cauchy-Riemann-Fueter (CRF) analyticity conditions establish that only linear quaternion-valued functions are analytic, prohibiting the development of quaternion-valued nonlinear adaptive filters for the recurrent neural network architecture ...
