Quantum nondemolition measurements of a flux qubit coupled to a noisy detector
We theoretically study the measurement-induced dephasing caused by back action noise in quantum nondemolition measurements of a superconducting flux qubit which is coupled to a superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID).

Understanding Decoherence of the Boron Vacancy Center in Hexagonal Boron Nitride
State‐of‐the‐art computations unravel the intricate decoherence dynamics of the boron vacancy center in hexagonal boron nitride across magnetic fields from 0 to 3 T. Five distinct regimes emerge, dominated by nuclear spin interactions, revealing optimal coherence times of 1–20 µs in the 180–350 mT range for isotopically pure samples.

High coherence hybrid superconducting qubit
We measure the coherence of a new superconducting qubit, the {\em low-impedance flux qubit}, finding $T_2^* \sim T_1 \sim 1.5\mu$s. It is a three-junction flux qubit, but the ratio of junction critical currents is chosen to make the qubit's potential ...

Narrow Inhomogeneous Distribution and Charge State Stabilization of Lead‐Vacancy Centers in Diamond
Lead‐vacancy (PbV) centers in diamond are expected to be a building block of quantum network nodes owing to a large ground state splitting, which suppresses phonon interaction. In this study, multiple PbV centers with nearly identical photon frequencies and stable charge state are fabricated by high‐pressure and high‐temperature anneal up to 2300 °C ...

Metastable Superconducting Qubit [PDF]
We propose a superconducting qubit design, based on a tunable RF-SQUID and nanowire kinetic inductors, which has a dramatically reduced transverse electromagnetic coupling to its environment, so that its excited state should be metastable. If electromagnetic interactions are in fact responsible for the current excited-state decay rates of ...
