This essay revisits Quentin Meillassoux’s treatment of facticity and correlationism to examine the limits of strong anti-metaphysical positions in contemporary philosophy. It argues that while Meillassoux productively radicalizes contingency, his move toward hyper-chaos risks replacing empirical realism with speculative abstraction.
