Over the last 25 years, perceptions of the early prehistory of Northwest Africa have undergone radical changes due to new fieldwork projects and a corresponding growth in scientific interest in the region. The release of gravid Exochomus quadripustulatus females proved to be effective in containing Toumeyella parvicornis infestations on stone pine trees, under open‐field condition. The ladybugs caused a lower infestation level compared to the trees that did not receive any ladybugs during the observation season.

Moderate retention forestry creates structurally sharp forest edges that act as ecological filters, shaping orientation‐specific activity of ground‐dwelling arthropods. Using drift‐fence pitfall traps, we show that activity aligned with ecotones is more frequent than activity across forest–clearcut boundaries, particularly among detritivores.

Assessing drivers of population dynamics helps to mitigate human–wildlife conflicts. In Mediterranean areas, summer aridity reduces resources, potentially affecting ungulates' body condition and reproduction. In a mixed forested‐rural area, wild boar female body mass increased throughout summer in rainy‐mild years and decreased in hot‐dry years.

Warm Spring Weather Alters Calling Phenology of Four Sympatric Early‐Breeding Anurans
An unusually warm March in 2024 (“false spring”) followed by freezing temperatures allowed us to assess the impact of a weather event on an amphibian community. The calling activity of all four species was associated with increasing temperature, and the first date of calling was advanced by 11–18 days.
