Cultivar Checklist of Quercus (Excluding Subg. Quercus)
Arboriculture & Urban Forestry, 1987Cultivars of species in the genus Quercus (excl. subgenus Quercus, the white oaks) are listed and described. Twent-two species and several hybrids of the subgenera Cyclobalanopsis, Corns, Protobalanus, and Erythrobaianus are discussed and determinations made on the validity of cultivar names. The "Darlington" oak is regarded as a colloquial name for Q.
