Cultivars of species in the genus Quercus (excl. subgenus Quercus, the white oaks) are listed and described. Twent-two species and several hybrids of the subgenera Cyclobalanopsis, Corns, Protobalanus, and Erythrobaianus are discussed and determinations made on the validity of cultivar names. The "Darlington" oak is regarded as a colloquial name for Q.

Lasiocampa quercus (Linnaeus, 1758) Shugurov, 1905; Tishchenkov, 2010. Distribution of the species in the Region is not clear. It is probably local in the northern wood-and-steppe areas (Fig. 19). In Ukraine, one generation develops with the flight of adults in June–August.
