A set of commonly used questionnaire measures of anxiety was administered to a homogeneous student sample, and intercorrelations were obtained among these scores and for intelligence and course grades. The results show a ‘questionnaire anxiety’ as the common factor. Anxiety assessments from the Draw-A-Person test were found to be highly unreliable.
