Food Frontiers, EarlyView.Ganoderic acid A (GA) improved lipid metabolism disorders by inhibiting intestinal FXR. GA markedly suppressed the ileal intestinal FXR activity. Then, GA changed bile acid composition and upregulated hepatic Cyp7a1 mRNA through decreasing FXR target genes encoded protein levels.
