Sensitivity Analysis and Simulation of a Multiserver Queueing System with Mixed Service Time Distribution

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
The motivation of mixing distributions in communication/queueing systems modeling is that some input data (e.g., service time in queueing models) may follow several distinct distributions in a single input flow. In this paper, we study the sensitivity of

Faster and Durable: A Cell‐to‐System Validation of a Low‐Degradation Fast‐Charge Protocol for Li‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A physics‐based framework resolving graphite phase‐separation dynamics establishes a predictive, degradation‐aware fast‐charging methodology for commercial Li‐ion batteries. The resulting model‐informed protocol achieves 20%–80% state‐of‐charge in 14 min while matching the long‐term degradation of a commercial 25‐minute EV strategy.

A New Method for Markovian Adaptation of the Non-Markovian Queueing System Using the Hidden Markov Model

open access: yesAlgorithms, 2019
This manuscript starts with a detailed analysis of the current solution for the queueing system M/Er/1/∞. In the existing solution, Erlang’s service is caused by Poisson’s arrival process of groups, but not individual clients.

Is Youth's Engagement in Agribusiness an Opportunity or a Necessity? A Closer Look at the Situation in South Kivu, Eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Despite the broad focus on necessity‐ and opportunity‐driven entrepreneurship in research and policy, the entrepreneurial dichotomy within the agribusiness context has not been adequately addressed. This study contributes to closing this knowledge gap by examining youth's perceptions of agribusiness through the lens of the push‐pull motivation

Analysis of fluid system fed by an infinite servers queue subject to catastrophes servers and reparable [PDF]

open access: yesMaǧallaẗ Al-Buḥūṯ Al-Tiǧāriyyaẗ
: This article examines an system with catastrophic server failures and repairs that feeds a fluid queue. The buffer content's stationary distribution function is expressed explicitly in terms of confluent queueing hyper geometric functions.

Approximate models of air transport queueing systems with partial mutual assistance between service channels

open access: yesВестник Самарского университета: Аэрокосмическая техника, технологии и машиностроение, 2023
Approximate analytical models are proposed for two types of multi-channel queuing systems with partial mutual assistance between channels and waiting in limited-size and unbounded queues.

Exploring Quantum Support Vector Regression for Predicting Hydrogen Storage Capacity of Nanoporous Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
In this study we employed support vector regressor and quantum support vector regressor to predict the hydrogen storage capacity of metal–organic frameworks using structural and physicochemical descriptors. This study presents a comparative analysis of classical support vector regression (SVR) and quantum support vector regression (QSVR) in predicting ...

Ross's second conjecture and supermodular stochastic ordering

open access: yes, 2022
This short note discusses open problems and partial solutions related to Sheldon M Ross's second conjecture about the classical single server queue subject to a randomly time-varying rate arrival rate.Comment: This preprint has not undergone peer review ...

The Necessity of Dynamic Workflow Managers for Advancing Self‐Driving Labs and Optimizers

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
We assess the maturity and integration readiness of key methodologies for Materials Acceleration Platforms, highlighting the need for dynamic workflow managers. Demonstrating this, we integrate PerQueue into a color‐mixing robot, showing how flexible orchestration improves coordination and optimization.

Generalized Priority Models for QoS and CoS Network Technologies [PDF]

open access: yesComputer Science Journal of Moldova, 2007
The variety of priority queueing systems with random switchover times is suggested in this paper. Such systems represent generalized models for a wide class of phenomena which involve queueing and prioritization and are considered in QoS and CoS network ...
