Low-voltage class AB buffers with quiescent current control

IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits, 1998
This paper presents a simple class AB buffer which is suitable for low-voltage (1.5 V) applications. The proposed buffer uses an adaptive load to reduce the sensitivity of the quiescent current to the process variation. The main feature of this scheme is its simplicity. The circuit was fabricated in a 2.0 /spl mu/m digital CMOS process.

Quiescent current testing of combinational circuits with bridging faults

Proceedings First Asian Test Symposium (ATS `92), 2003
The authors present a classification of bridging faults in ISCAS combinational circuits and analyze the L/sub DDQ/ testability of this sort of faults. A procedure for test pattern generation is implemented and it is applied to these circuits. The problem of testing feedback bridging faults is also analyzed showing that this type of fault is also ...

Low quiescent current variable output digital controlled voltage regulator

Proceedings of 2010 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2010
In this paper, a digital controlled push-pull linear voltage regulator is proposed. The designed regulator can provide a variable output voltage ranging from 0.5V to 1V in steps of 0.1V. It can supply a maximum of 100mA for each output level. A time interleaving control technique is also presented to enhance the output performance.

Compensating for quiescent current in multistage magnetic amplifiers

Electrical Engineering, 1952
WHEN a single saturating reactor is used as a magnetic amplifier the output current is not zero when there is no d-c input. In the absence of any d-c saturating excitation there is a small quiescent current Io. The application of a d-c signal causes the output to increase from this smaller value, Io, to a larger value Is.

Quiescent current control for low distortion linear power amplifier

TENCON 2015 - 2015 IEEE Region 10 Conference, 2015
This paper proposes and analyzes a quiescent current control scheme on linear power amplifier, which allows the amplifier to achieve low distortion amplification that is free from zero-crossing distortion as a Class A amplifier, while achieving energy efficiency comparable to a Class B amplifier.

Low supply voltage, low quiescent current, ULDO linear regulator

ICECS 2001. 8th IEEE International Conference on Electronics, Circuits and Systems (Cat. No.01EX483), 2002
In this paper a new monolithic Ultra Low Drop-Out (ULDO) linear regulator developed in BCD (Bipolar CMOS, DMOS) technology, 5th generation, is described. It is able to deliver an output current up to 5 A with 150 mV drop-out voltage on the series element at a supply voltage down to 2 V The new regulator has been designed to reduce the quiescent and ...

CMOS SRAM functional test with quiescent write supply current

Proceedings 1998 IEEE International Workshop on IDDQ Testing (Cat. No.98EX232), 2002
A large quiescent supply current of mA order flows when a data is written in a CMOS SRAM IC. In this paper an SRAM test method is proposed which is based on the supply current and whose purpose is to detect logically faulty IC's. The method is evaluated by some experiments. In the experiments, about 80% of faulty CMOS SRAM IC's are detected. Also it is

A low quiescent-current, low supply-voltage linear regulator

Proceedings of the 21st IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Technology Conference (IEEE Cat. No.04CH37510), 2004
A new design for a low-dropout regulator circuit is presented in this work. The circuit is based on the driving of a pass element using two switches, thus improving the slew rate performance of the typical error amplifier. The circuit provides an accurate output voltage, which can drive different capacitive loads within the range of 500 nF to 4.7 /spl ...

High-Gain Class-AB OTA with Low Quiescent Current

Analog Integrated Circuits and Signal Processing, 2006
High-performance operational transconductance amplifier (OTA) is designed for switched-capacitor applications. Without using a cascoded output stage, which limits the voltage swing, the output resistance is significantly increased for high DC gain by accurately controlling the output current.

Single-ended saturable reactor circuit with quiescent current compensation

Transactions of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, Part I: Communication and Electronics, 1955
This paper has been prepared to introduce a single-ended saturable reactor circuit which exhibits a transfer characteristic for which the d-c output is essentially a linear function of the d-c input for the entire design range of d-c inputs. This ?to-zero?
