mTOR pathway occupies a central role in the emergence of latent cancer cells

open access: yesCell Death and Disease
The current focus in oncology research is the translational control of cancer cells as a major mechanism of cellular plasticity. Recent evidence has prompted a reevaluation of the role of the mTOR pathway in cancer development leading to new conclusions.

A Nano quiescent Current Power Management for Autonomous Wireless Sensor Network [PDF]

open access: yes2013 IEEE 20th International Conference on Electronics, Circuits, and Systems (ICECS), 2013
A Nano quiescent current Power Management for Autonomous Wireless Sensor Network dedicated to indoor and outdoor Photovoltaic (PV) Energy Harvesting is presented. The standby current consumption is 130nA @ 2.4V. The battery can be charged with less than 5% of the harvested energy from low light (70 lux) to high light (1 sun).

3D Multicellular Scaffold Based Model for Advancing Bone Disorder Research

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A scalable 3D multicellular in vitro bone model engineered by integrating osteoblasts, osteoclasts, and endothelial cells on biodegradable scaffolds. The system recapitulates key features of human bone remodeling and disease pathology. As a proof of concept, the model mimics osteogenesis imperfecta, demonstrating its potential as a physiologically ...

A 640 nA IQ Output-Capacitor-Less Low Dropout (LDO) Regulator with Sub-Threshold Slew-Rate Enhancement for Narrow Band Internet of Things (NB-IoT) Applications

open access: yesMicromachines
An ultra-low quiescent current output-capacitor-less low dropout (OCL-LDO) regulator for power-sensitive applications is proposed in this paper. To improve the gain of the OCL-LDO feedback loop, the error amplifier employs a combination of a cross ...

Dual Micro-power 150mA Ultra LDO CMOS Regulator with fast startup

open access: yesJournal of Microelectronic Manufacturing, 2019
This paper presents a dual micro-power 150mA ultra LDO CMOS regulator, which is designed for high performance and small size portable wireless devices. The proposed LDO has been designed and simulated in 0.5μm 2P3M CMOS Process.

Quiescent macular neovascularization: clinical characteristics, multimodal imaging features and current recommendations

open access: yesJournal of Retina-Vitreous, 2023
The term quiescent macular neovascularization (MNV) was introduced to describe new vessel formation located beneath the retina pigment epithelium without any exudation and/or hemorrhage in association with age-related macular degeneration on repeated optical coherence tomography (OCT) examinations for at least six months apart.

Stochastically perturbed flows: Delayed and interrupted evolution

open access: yes, 2001
We present analytical expressions for the time-dependent and stationary probability distributions corresponding to a stochastically perturbed one-dimensional flow with critical points, in two physically relevant situations: delayed evolution, in which ...

Self‐Immolative Activatable Nanoassembly toward Immuno‐Photodynamic Therapy in TME

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A quinone methide‐gated, self‐immolative, H2O2‐responsive nano‐photosensitizer (Pyz/PS) is developed for targeted immuno‐photodynamic therapy. Pyz/PS selectively activates within tumor microenvironments, restores photosensitizer activity, generates ROS, and depletes intracellular GSH, enhancing oxidative stress.

Infrared color selection of massive galaxies at z > 3 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We introduce a new color-selection technique to identify high-redshift, massive galaxies that are systematically missed by Lyman-break selection. The new selection is based on the H_{160} and IRAC 4.5um bands, specifically H - [4.5] > 2.25 mag.

A Vascular Microphysiological Model of Lung Fibrosis Reveals That Myofibroblasts and IPF Patient‐Derived Fibroblasts Impair Angiogenesis and Vasculogenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A microphysiological lung fibrosis model recapitulates myofibroblast–vascular interactions. Induced myofibroblasts and patient‐derived IPF fibroblasts impair angiogenesis and increase vascular permeability via TGF‐β1–driven signaling. Pharmacological interventions with SB 431542 and VEGF supplementation restore vascular morphology and barrier function.
