A reading of Wittgenstein makes of “finding one’s voice in the others’ words” an essential issue in philosophy of language and of subjectivity. In this paper, one understands this phrase in a literal way, through the case of quotation: what happens to a subjectivity when it is quoted? Should one consider the quotation as a reification of the individual?
