The $2T$-qutrit, a two-mode bosonic qutrit [PDF]

open access: yesQuantum, 2023
Quantum computers often manipulate physical qubits encoded on two-level quantum systems. Bosonic qubit codes depart from this idea by encoding information in a well-chosen subspace of an infinite-dimensional Fock space.

Virtual Correlations in Single Qutrit [PDF]

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematical Physics, 2016
We construct the positive invertible map of the mixed states of a single qutrit onto the antisymmetrized bipartite qutrit states (quasifermions).

Amplified Quantum Correlation via Dynamical Modulation in Qubit‐Qutrit System under Markovian and Non‐Markovian Noise

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research
We investigated the entanglement dynamics in a hybrid system subjected to a dynamical modulation amplification coupled to Random Telegraph Noise (RTN), which exhibits two distinct regimes: Markovian and non‐Markovian.

Qutrit Randomized Benchmarking [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2021
Ternary quantum processors offer significant computational advantages over conventional qubit technologies, leveraging the encoding and processing of quantum information in qutrits (three-level systems). To evaluate and compare the performance of such emerging quantum hardware it is essential to have robust benchmarking methods suitable for a higher ...

Intramolecular Charge-Transfer Dopants Enable Isolated Triplet Excitons as Spin Qutrits in a Single Crystal. [PDF]

open access: yesAngew Chem Int Ed Engl
Photoexcitation of an intramolecular charge‐transfer molecule doped into single crystals of a structurally similar host molecule results in well‐ordered, spectrally addressable, and orientation‐tunable triplet excitons that maintain coherence at elevated temperatures.

Cloning a qutrit [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Modern Optics, 2002
We investigate several classes of state-dependent quantum cloners for three-level systems. These cloners optimally duplicate some of the four maximally-conjugate bases with an equal fidelity, thereby extending the phase-covariant qubit cloner to qutrits.

Qutrit entanglement [PDF]

open access: yesOptics Communications, 2000
We consider the separability of various joint states for N qutrits. We derive two results: (i) the separability condition for a two-qutrit state that is a mixture of the maximally mixed state and a maximally entangled state (such a state is a generalization of the Werner state for two qubits); (ii) upper and lower bounds on the size of the neighborhood

Characterization of control in a superconducting qutrit using randomized benchmarking

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2021
We characterize control of a qutrit implemented in the lowest three energy levels of a capacitively shunted flux-biased superconducting circuit. Randomized benchmarking over the qutrit Clifford group yields an average fidelity of 98.89±0.05%.
