Bridging the gap between microclimate and microrefugia: A bottom-up approach reveals strong climatic and biological offsets. [PDF]
Microrefugia are thought to be small areas with environmental conditions enabling the survival of populations outside their species range. In this paper, we study current microrefugia inferred from plant distribution patterns, using the southernmost disconnected and abyssal populations of the circumboreal herbaceous plant Oxalis acetosella in Southern ...

Connectivity among thermal habitats buffers the effects of warm climate on life-history traits and population dynamics. [PDF]
Through its effects on movement, landscape fragmentation may influence the response of populations to climate change. This 3‐year‐long experiment on common lizards demonstrates that habitat connectivity can drastically change the impacts of warming on life‐history traits and population dynamics.

Aedes albopictus Is Rapidly Invading Its Climatic Niche in France: Wider Implications for Biting Nuisance and Arbovirus Control in Western Europe. [PDF]
Aedes albopictus is invading Western Europe, causing autochthonous cases of arboviral diseases. Through a mechanistic modeling framework, we simulated the impacts of climate changes on the extension of the area environmentally suitable for the presence of this vector and for the transmission of arboviruses.

Syntheses clearly show that global warming is affecting ecosystems and biodiversity around the world. New methods and measures are needed to predict the climate resilience of plant species critical to ecosystem stability, to improve ecological management and to support habitat restoration and human well‐being.

The electoral importance and evolution of climate‐related energy policy: evidence from Switzerland
Abstract In this study, we provide descriptive evidence on the importance and evolution of climate‐related energy policy in Swiss elections over the past 15 years. We combined data collected by us on the issue of energy transition (as the primary policy tool to prevent climate change) in party manifestos with the results of recent Swiss election ...

Abstract Emissions of CO2 from the soil are the second‐largest component of the global carbon cycle, which has altered the climate and led to climate change. The main aim of this research was to evaluate the direct impact of climate and soil management systems on soil carbon emissions.
