Tumor‐Regional Immune Microenvironment: A Critical Factor in the Design of Radiotherapy–Immunotherapy Combination Trials

ABSTRACT Clinical trials combining radiotherapy (RT) with immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) have shown improved outcomes in only a fraction of patients, and optimal strategies for integrating these modalities remain under intense investigation. With a few exceptions, phase III combination trials have yielded disappointing results.

Total neoadjuvant therapy could combine the potentially strong systemic effect of FLOT chemotherapy with the good locoregional control of CROSS chemoradiotherapy. While total neoadjuvant therapy is increasingly used in rectal cancer, its potential in gastroesophageal cancer remains largely unexplored.

Membranous dysmenorrhea and decidual casts: A scoping review

Abstract Background Membranous dysmenorrhea, characterized by the expulsion of intact endometrial tissue rather than gradual dissolution during menstruation, occasionally presents as a decidual cast—a complete triangular mold of the uterine cavity. This poorly understood condition is likely underdiagnosed.
