Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Weighted Hardy operators in local generalized Orlicz-Morrey spaces

open access: yesKarpatsʹkì Matematičnì Publìkacìï, 2021
In this paper, we find sufficient conditions on general Young functions $(\Phi, \Psi)$ and the functions $(\varphi_1,\varphi_2)$ ensuring that the weighted Hardy operators $A_\omega^\alpha$ and ${\mathcal A}_\omega^\alpha$ are of strong type from a local

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Existence and uniqueness of functional differential equations with n delay [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
In this paper we give a necessary and suffcient conditions for the existence and uniqueness of periodic solutions of functional differential equations with n delay d dt x(t) = Ax(t) + n j=1 Bx(t -- r j) + f (t).

Criterion of (Lp, Lr) boundedness for a class of multilinear oscillatory singular integrals [PDF]

open access: yesNagoya Mathematical Journal, 1998
Abstract. In this paper, we consider a kind of multilinear operators related to oscillatory singular integrals with rough kernels and give a criterion of certain boundedness for this kind of operators.

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

On M∗-Irresolute Topological Rings

open access: yesInternational Journal of Analysis and Applications, 2023
The main aim of this paper is to introduce and study the new notions namely M∗-irresolute topological rings and M∗-irresolute topological R-modules by virtue of M∗-open sets.

On the $\mathcal{R}$-boundedness of solution operator families for two-phase Stokes resolvent equations

open access: yesDifferential and Integral Equations, 2017
The aim of this paper is to show the existence of $\mathcal{R}$-bounded solution operator families for two-phase Stokes resolvent equations in $\dot = _+\cup _-$, where $ _\pm$ are uniform $W_r^{2-1/r}$ domains of $N$-dimensional Euclidean space $\mathbf{R}^N$ ($N\geq 2 ...

A methionine‐lined active site governs carbocation stabilization and product specificity in a bacterial terpene synthase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These
