A Hybrid Spatial Indexing Structure of Massive Point Cloud Based on Octree and 3D R*-Tree
The spatial index structure is one of the most important research topics for organizing and managing massive 3D Point Cloud. As a point in Point Cloud consists of Cartesian coordinates (x,y,z), the common method to explore geometric information and ...

We show the theory of pointed $\R$-trees with radius at most $r$ is axiomatizable in a suitable continuous signature. We identify the model companion $\rbRT_r$ of this theory and study its properties. In particular, the model companion is complete and has quantifier elimination; it is stable but not superstable.

PROVIDING R-TREE SUPPORT FOR MONGODB [PDF]
Supporting large amounts of spatial data is a significant characteristic of modern databases. However, unlike some mature relational databases, such as Oracle and PostgreSQL, most of current burgeoning NoSQL databases are not well designed for storing ...

Future-Based Persistent Spatial Data Structure for NVM-Based Manycore Machines
R-trees have been popular for their support of multidimensional data and high-performing queries. FBR-tree is the state-of-the-art concurrent variant of the R-tree for Intel DC Persistent Memory (DCPM).

A Continuous k-Nearest Neighbor Query Method for Moving Data in Obstructed Spaces
For the nearest neighbor query problem of continuous moving objects in spatio-temporal databases, the COpKNN (continuous obstructed possible k-nearest neighbor) query is proposed: in a two-dimensional space, given a moving query point q, a set of moving ...
