The IL‐10/IL‐6 Ratio and the Risk Score: Two Cytokines‐Based Predictors for Malignancy‐Associated Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis in Adults (M‐HLHa)

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Hematology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The predictive value of cytokines (CK) for malignancy‐associated adult hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (M‐HLHa) remains uncertain. We evaluated a cytokine‐based Risk Score (RS) and the IL‐10/IL‐6 Ratio to predict M‐HLHa. Adult patients (n = 112) from the French HLH cohort (NCT02113917) with complete data for nine key HLH related CK measured

Innovation in the Face of Necessity: A Mixed‐Method Study of Student's Experience From an Anatomy Education Program Focused on a Near‐Peer Tutoring Module

open access: yesClinical Anatomy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Following institutional changes that reduced access to cadaveric dissection, Paris‐Saclay University developed a two‐year elective anatomy pathway serving as a longitudinal progression toward near‐peer tutoring (NPT). Designed as a complement to the core curriculum, the program preserves engagement with human dissection while promoting ...

Aftasten/Tantear: A sensorial, coalitional wayfinding among Muslim runners

open access: yesFeminist Anthropology, EarlyView.
Abstract Muslim recreational runners in Muslim‐minority settings that take up running as their preferred form of leisure indicate that they feel they have to navigate a sense of exclusion when running outdoors. Is the Problem of Other Minds Present in the Philosophy of R. Descartes?

open access: yesIngenium. Revista Electrónica de Pensamiento Moderno y Metodología en Historia de la Ideas, 2017
The aim of the essay is to analyze the passages of the Cartesian oeuvre which could be related to the problem of other minds. After a brief presentation of the problem and what is known as the argument from analogy, we show that what we will call the automata passage is not an acknowledgement of the problem.

Cis-perturbation of cancer drivers by the HTLV-1/BLV proviruses is an early determinant of leukemogenesis

open access: yesNature Communications, 2017
Human T-cell leukaemia virus type-1 and bovine leukaemia virus infect T and B lymphocytes and lead to aggressive leukaemia. Here, the authors show these proviruses integrate near cancer drivers perturbing transcription termination or antisense RNA ...

Chromatic Ramsey Numbers and Two‐Color Turán Densities

open access: yesJournal of Graph Theory, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Given a graph G, its 2‐color Turán number ex ( 2 ) ( n , G ) is the maximum number of edges in an n‐vertex graph, such that the edges can be colored with two colors avoiding a monochromatic copy of G. Let π ( 2 ) ( G ) = lim n → ∞ ex ( 2 ) ( n , G ) / n 2 be the 2‐color Turán density of G.

Was R. Descartes’ initial skepticism merely propaedeutic?

open access: yesSiberian Journal of Philosophy, 2019
The role of Descartes’s use of doubt in the reality of the existence of everything as propaedeutic is revealed. Namely, this is done to actually recognize the certainty for the mind of man of the existence of only himself. And this determined the dualistic essence of the entire philosophical position of Descartes. It is a manifestation of his desire to
