Retrofitting of R-22 Air-Conditioning System with R1234ze(E)
2019In this study, the effect on energy parameters and total equivalent warming impact (TEWI) using R1234ze(E) as a substitute for R22 in an air-conditioning device was investigated. The R22 system was retrofitted with R1234ze(E) changing compressor oil. The experimental data was obtained for three different ambient temperatures (30, 35 and 40 °C).

Thermal conductivity data for refrigerant mixtures containing R1234yf and R1234ze(E)
The Journal of Chemical Thermodynamics, 2019Abstract Thermal conductivities of binary refrigerant mixtures (R125 + R152a), (R125 + R1234ze(E)), (R143a + R1234ze(E)), (R143a + R1234yf), (R1234ze(E) + R1234yf), (R125 + R1234yf), and (R134a + R1234ze(E)) were measured in the homogeneous liquid and vapour phases using the transient hot-wire technique.

Boiling heat transfer of a R32/R1234ze(E) mixture inside a microchannel
2017The search for alternatives to high GWP refrigerants primarily focuses on the use of natural fluids (hydrocarbons, ammonia, carbon dioxide) and new synthetic refrigerants having low GWP. Unfortunately, single-component low-GWP refrigerants so far cannot cover all the applications unless some drawbacks, such as flammability, are accepted. A solution may
