Derived thermodynamic design data for heat pump systems operating on R1270
Heat Recovery Systems and CHP, 1991Abstract Theoretical Rankine coefficients of performance and the compression ratios have been presented for heat pump systems operating on R1270. These values are listed in tabular form for temperature lifts of 5–75°C and condensing temperatures of 12–90°C in one degree increments.

In this study, therma l performance of two hydrocarbon refrigerants of R290 and R1270 was measured in an attempt to substitute R22. They wer tested in a heat pump bench tester of 1 ton capacity with a hermetic rotary compressor. Water and water/glycol mixture were employed as the secondary heat transfer fluids in the test bench.

Abstract This study presents a novel dual-temperature air-source heat pump system with an ejector using zeotropic mixture R1270/R600a. The system provides a high-temperature heat source (around 60 °C hot water) and low-temperature heat source (around 35 °C hot water) respectively. The system improves its performance via the application of an ejector.
