[Cryoprotection of compatible-solutes for Methanolobus psychrophilus R15].
Wei sheng wu xue bao = Acta microbiologica Sinica, 2014Methanolobus psychrophilus R15, isolated from the Zogei wetland at Tibetan plateau, is a cold-active methanogenic archaeon growing from 0 to 30 degrees C and optimally at 18 degrees C. R15 grew in the NaCl concentrations ranging from 5 to 800 mmol/L.This study aimed to find compatible solutes that can improve the growth of R15 at cold, and the possible

Development of intrinsic burst generation in identified neuron R15 ofAplysia
Brain Research, 1981The development of endogenous bursting pattern of identified neuron R15 of Aplysia was studied, in animals ranging from juveniles weighing 27 mg to adult animals weighing 350 g. In the youngest animals studied, R15 only fires irregularly, somewhat later it begins firing in brief bursts, and only in early adulthood does its characteristic burst firing ...

High temperature induces reversible silence in Aplysia R15 bursting pacemaker neuron
Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology Part A: Physiology, 1991Abstract 1. 1. The effects of heat on the activity of the endogenously bursting neurosecretory cell R15 in Aplysia were examined over the temperature range from 23 to 37°C. 2. 2. Interburst interval decreased from 14.1 ± 3.0 sec at room temperature to 6.6 ± 0.95 sec at about 30°C before rising to 17.3 ± 4.1 sec at about 33°C. Burst duration,

Analysis of Neuromodulator and Bursting Mechanisms a Model of Aplysia Neuron R15
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1994Abstract We have improved and extended an equivalent circuit model of the bursting neuron R15 in Aplysia and have simulated the neuromodulatory effects of serotonin (5-HT) and dopamine (DA), incorporating previously proposed mechanisms. The model produces dynamic model behavior consistent with the observed behavior of R15 in vitro , demonstrating ...

[Physical and genetic organization of the plasmid R15].
Genetika, 1985The conjugative IncN plasmid R15 (SmrSurHgr, 62.3 kb) is cleaved by the hexanucleotide-specific endonucleases BglII, HindIII, EcoRI, BamHI, SmaI, SalI, PstI and XhoI into 9, 9, 6, 5, 4, 4, 4 and 2 fragments, respectively. The restriction sites were located on the physical map of the R15 genome. Distribution of the cleavage sites is strongly asymmetric.

IS8- and Tn2353-mediated cointegration of the plasmids R15 and RP4:: Tn1
Molecular and General Genetics MGG, 1984The plasmids R15 and RP4::Tn1 form fused structures (85 Md and 92 Md cointegrates). The cointegrates do not resolve practically in recA- Escherichia coli cells and have a mean life-time of more than 50 generations in a recA+ background. The 85 Md cointegrates were generated at a frequency of 4 x 10(-4) per R15 transconjugant during a mating between E ...

Responses of the “Hypoxic Resistant” R15 Neuron of Aplysia to Reduced Extracellular Oxygen Tensions
1983These results may be interpreted as follows: Calcium entry into R15 is brought about by hypoxia. The amount of intracellular calcium is probably buffered by the endoplasmic reticulum and the mitochondria whose processes of oxidative phosphorylation exchange protons for Ca2 + ions.

Klebsiella R15 is a N2 – fixing bacteria isolated from rice root cv. RE 7 in which glutamine synthetase-glutamate synthase (GS-GOGAT) pathway is responsible for ammonium assimilation in combined nitrogen and N2-fixing condition. Since GS is the key enzyme in N-metabolism of Klebsiella R15, comparative study on the GS specific activity and GS protein in
