Spectrophotometric determination of Allura Red (R40) in soft drink powders using the universal calibration matrix for partial least squares multivariate method

Analytica Chimica Acta, 1996
Abstract The Kool-Aid powders (Kraft General Foods) contain one or two of the following dyes: Allura Red (FD and C Red-40, R40), Sunset Yellow (FD and C Yellow-6, Y6) Tartrazine (FD and C Yellow-5, Y5), Erythrosine B (FD and C Red-3, R3), Amaranth (FD and C Red-2, R2) and Brilliant Blue FCF (FD and C Blue 1, B1), depending on the taste of the drink ...

Comparative biology of five RNA phages, R23, f2, Qβ, R34, and R40

Canadian Journal of Microbiology, 1970
The RNA bacteriophage R23 inhibits the synthesis of bacterial RNA and protein to a greater extent than phages f2, Qβ, R34, or R40. Various aspects of the process of infection of Escherichia coli by these phages have been examined to assess their possible role in determining the extent of viral RNA synthesis and inhibition of the host. There was little

Derived thermodynamic design data for heat pump systems operating on R40

Heat Recovery Systems and CHP, 1987
Abstract Theoretical Rankine coeffiecients of performance and compression ratios have been presented for heat pumps systems operating on R40. These values are listed in tabular form for temperature lifts of 10–75°C and condensing temperatures of 10–75°C in 5°C increments.

Catalyst Technology for Reducing Motorcycle Emissions under ECE-R40, ECE-R47 and Indian Drive Cycles

SAE Technical Paper Series, 2001
<div class="htmlview paragraph">The application of catalytic converters is the most cost-efficient way to meet stricter motorcycle emission standards. This paper attempts to evaluate the catalyst performance for motorcycles in Taiwan, Europe, and India over the ECE-R40, ECE-R47 and Indian Drive Cycle.

The r40‐kDa Outer Membrane Protein Human Monoclonal Antibody Protects Against Porphyromonas gingivalis–Induced Bone Loss in Rats

Journal of Periodontology, 2007
Background: Porphyromonas gingivalis has been implicated as an important pathogen in the development of adult periodontitis, and its colonization of subgingival sites is critical in the pathogenic process. We recently reported the construction and characterization of human immunoglobulin G isotype clones, which were specifically reactive with ...

R40: first luminous blue variable in the small magellanic cloud

2008
During the past decade R 40 in the SMC has brightened in the visual range by about 0.5 magnitudes. Correlated with the brightening the spectral type has changed from B8Ia to A3Ia-O. This behaviour shows R 40 to be an LBV, the first one discovered in the SMC. During the past eight years we obtained extensive Stromgren photometry.

EFFICACY OF RECIPROC R40 AND REVO-S IN PREPARATION OF OVAL ROOT CANALS- AN EX-VIVO CONE BEAM COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY STUDY

Egyptian Dental Journal, 2017
Aim: To evaluate the efficacy of Revo-S and Reciproc R40 NiTi files in preparation of oval root canals using Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT). Methodology: Forty extracted single rooted premolars were divided into 2 groups (n=20). Group 1 (R-S) were prepared with Revo-S up to size #40/.06.
