Inflation from $f(R)$ theories in gravity's rainbow
In this work, we study the $f(R)$ models of inflation in the context of gravity's rainbow theory. We choose three types of $f(R)$ models: $f(R)=R+\alpha (R/M)^{n},\,f(R)=R+\alpha R^{2}+\beta R^{2}\log(R/M^{2})$ and the Einstein-Hu-Sawicki model with $n,\,

Sub-shelf melt pattern and ice sheet mass loss governed by meltwater flow below ice shelves [PDF]
Ocean-induced sub-shelf melt is one of the main drivers of Antarctic mass loss. Capturing it in ice sheet models is typically done by using parameterisations that compute sub-shelf melt rates based on local thermal forcing.

Decision tree modeling using R [PDF]
In machine learning field, decision tree learner is powerful and easy to interpret. It employs recursive binary partitioning algorithm that splits the sample in partitioning variable with the strongest association with the response variable. The process continues until some stopping criteria are met. In the example I focus on conditional inference tree,

Analysis of Treatment-Control Pre-Post-Follow-up Design Data [PDF]
The treatment-control pre-post-follow-up (TCPPF) design is a popular means to demonstrate that a treatment group is superior to a control group over time.

Supersymmetric models without R parity
Abstract We show that many supersymmetric models may spontaneously break R parity through scalar neutrinos acquiring a vacuum expectation value (vev). These models allow supersymmetric particles to be produced singly and to decay to non-supersymmetric states. This leads to a new pattern of supersymmetric phenomenology.

Are double trailers cost effective for transporting forest biomass on steep terrain?
Transportation of forest biomass on steep terrain involves logistical challenges. Trucks with large single trailers are often unable to travel on forest roads due to their narrowness, tight curves, adverse grades and limited areas to ...
