Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus Isolated from Diseased Alpine Musk Deer (Moschus sifanicus) [PDF]

open access: yesViruses, 2020
Rabbit hemorrhagic disease virus (RHDV) is the causative agent of rabbit hemorrhagic disease (RHD), and its infection results in mortality of 70–90% in farmed and wild rabbits. RHDV is thought to replicate strictly in rabbits.

Emerging Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus 2 (RHDVb), Australia [PDF]

open access: diamondEmerging Infectious Diseases, 2015
To the Editor: In May 2015 an isolate of the recently emerged variant of rabbit hemorrhagic disease virus (RHDV), RHDV2, was identified in an Australian wild rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus). RHDV2 (also called RHDVb) was first described in outbreaks in France in 2010 (1), then Italy and Spain in 2011 (2,3) and in Portugal from 2012 onwards (4).

Early Pathogenesis in Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus 2

open access: greenSSRN Electronic Journal, 2022
To detail early tissue distribution and innate immune response to rabbit hemorrhagic disease virus 2 (RHDV2), 13 rabbits were orally (Oryctolagus cuniculus) inoculated with liver homogenate made from a feral rabbit that succumbed to RHDV2 during the 2020

Lagovirus europeus GI.2 (rabbit hemorrhagic disease virus 2) infection in captive mountain hares (Lepus timidus) in Germany [PDF]

open access: goldBMC Veterinary Research, 2020
Background Rabbit hemorrhagic disease virus (RHDV, Lagovirus europeus GI.1) induces a contagious and highly lethal hemorrhagic disease in rabbits. In 2010 a new genotype of lagovirus (GI.2), emerged in Europe, infecting wild and domestic population of ...

Epitope mapping of a neutralizing antibody against rabbit hemorrhagic disease virus GI.2. [PDF]

open access: yesVet Res
In 2010, rabbit hemorrhagic disease virus (RHDV) GI.2 emerged, and unlike RHDV GI.1, it caused mortality in young rabbits, while existing vaccines were not fully protective.
