Race driver model

Computers and Structures, 2008
The best race driver is the one that, with a given vehicle, is able to drive on a given track in the shortest possible time. Thus, the only target is the lap time. A race driver model has to do the same. The first step towards this target is to decide which trajectory to follow.

Inequality and Race: [PDF]

open access: possibleSSRN Electronic Journal, 1999
Race and ethnicity play a central role in understanding the structure of inequality in the United States. In this paper, we focus on the economic chasm between black and white America and on what economic theory can contribute to our understanding of both inequality and the design of effective policy.

Generalizations of the Race Model Inequality

Multisensory Research, 2013
In redundant signals tasks, participants respond in the same way to two different stimuli which are presented either alone or in combination (redundant stimuli). Responses to redundant stimuli are typically faster than responses to single stimuli. Different explanations account for such redundancy gains, including race models and coactivation models ...

Model checking race-freeness

ACM SIGARCH Computer Architecture News, 2008
With the introduction of highly concurrent systems in standard desktop computers, ensuring correctness of industrial-size concurrent programs is becoming increasingly important. One of the most important standards in use for developing multi-threaded programs is the POSIX Threads standard, commonly known as PThreads.

Models of race and cline

American Journal of Physical Anthropology, 1972
AbstractComputer models have been constructed to depict in the form of two‐dimensional maps the effect of local selection on gene frequencies, particularly where partial barriers to gene flow are present at some points in an area.It was found that small amounts of uniform gene flow between foci of contrasting selection tend to produce evenly spaced ...

A Dynamic Model of an Armaments Race

International Economic Review, 1972
THE ECONOMIC EFFECTS OF ARMAMENTS RACES is a problem that has been neglected by economists. The work that has been done has, with a few exceptions, been done by non-economists or by economists who work at the interface of economics and political science or operations research.

Modeling and Simulation of a Car Race

2012
This paper was motivated by an old car racing game played in French schools. The objective of this paper is to model such a car racing system and to find a strategy that allows to move the cars automatically. First the rules of the racing game are given. Then it is modeled as a multi-agent system by GCA-w, a CA related model.
