This study provides an in‐depth account of patients' experiences of drainage as a symptom of hidradenitis suppurativa. The HIDE Scale© facilitates incorporation of these insights into clinical practice, supporting person‐centred approaches that enhance clinical assessment, reduce stigma, and strengthen patient–clinician communication.

Otologic Surgery Risk Prediction: Risk Analysis Index‐Administrative Versus Modified Frailty Index‐5

In a national cohort of 2862 patients undergoing otologic surgery, the risk analysis index‐administrative (RAI‐A) outperformed the modified frailty index‐5 (mFI‐5) in predicting key 30‐day postoperative outcomes, including mortality, complications, surgical site infection, extended length of stay, and nonhome discharge.

Risk Analysis Index Versus mFI‐5 for Predicting Outcomes After Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty

This retrospective database study of 2129 adults undergoing uvulopalatopharyngoplasty compared the risk analysis index (RAI) with the modified 5‐item frailty index (mFI‐5) for predicting 30‐day postoperative outcomes and found that frailty was associated with worse morbidity, prolonged hospitalization, non‐home discharge, and mortality.
