GENERATION AND SIMULATION OF MESHING FOR INVOLUTE HELICAL GEARS

open access: yesJournal of Engineering, 2009
A new method for generation and simulation of meshing for involute helical gears is presented. The approaches proposed for generation are based on the imaginary application of two rack-cutters one for pinion and the other for gear generation.

Myophosphorylase Knock Out Prevents the Exaggerated Exercise Pressor Reflex in Rats With Simulated Peripheral Artery Disease

open access: yesActa Physiologica, Volume 242, Issue 3, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Aim Controversy exists on which metabolites determine the exaggerated exercise pressor reflex (EPR) in peripheral artery disease (PAD). In decerebrated rats, we investigated the role played by lactate and hydrogen ions in a model of PAD, which was simulated by ligating the femoral artery for 72 h before the start of the experiment.

AUTO-MESHING RACK AND PINION GEAR

open access: yes, 2020
In a mechanical system with a rack and pinion, typically the rack and pinion are always engaged with each other but, in some instances, it is necessary to have the pinion gear disengage and engage with the rack.

What's the Difference Between a Colorimeter, a Colorimeter and a Colorimeter?

open access: yesColor Research &Application, Volume 51, Issue 1, January/February 2026.
The word colorimeter has been used to describe a number of instruments for a century and a half. Some instruments didn't measure color, per se, and others didn't measure in the sense the term is now used. Understanding the evolution of this word brings us to a better appreciation of the devices that measure color today.

A Hybrid Electromagnetic–Piezoelectric Wave Energy Harvester: Design, Optimisation, and Laboratory Validation

open access: yesIET Renewable Power Generation, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
This study introduces a hybrid wave energy harvester that combines electromagnetic and piezoelectric mechanisms to improve energy capture from low‐amplitude ocean waves. Experimental results show that the system outperforms standalone harvesters in power output and efficiency.
