Basis Networks: Learning basis functions for free‐form triangulations
Computer Graphics Forum, EarlyView.Abstract We present a framework for learning compactly supported basis functions that define tangent continuous surfaces based on coarse irregular triangle meshes. The basis functions are represented as MLPs. Smoothness of the basis functions is achieved by using the values of Loop basis functions as the parameterization of the surface.

The ALS‐associated E425K mutation uncouples DNAJC7 from the Hsp70 chaperone cycle
The FEBS Journal, EarlyView.DNAJC7 is a J‐domain protein that plays a key role in protein quality control by regulating Hsp70 activity and preventing protein aggregation. We find that the ALS‐associated E425K mutation in DNAJC7 disrupts productive interaction and activation of Hsp70, thereby blocking the transfer and refolding of client proteins such as TDP‐43.

A noncanonical role for Jagged1 in endothelial mechanotransduction
The FEBS Journal, EarlyView.This study reveals a noncanonical role for Jagged1 in endothelial mechanotransduction. Shear stress modulates Jagged1 expression and subcellular localization. Loss of Jagged1 attenuates mechanotransduction and reduces Src, VEGFR2, and ERK signaling. Direct mechanical stimulation of Jagged1 induces activation of these signaling pathways.
