Internal Wave Characteristics in the Andaman Sea: New Insights From SWOT Observations
Abstract High‐resolution, repeat‐pass Sea Surface Height Anomaly (SSHA) observations from the Surface Water and Ocean Topography (SWOT) satellite are used to investigate Internal Solitary Waves (ISW) in the Andaman Sea over a one‐year period starting in July 2023. SWOT captured surface signatures of high‐amplitude ISW, with SSHA exceeding 20 cm.

Potential of ALOS2 and NDVI to estimate forest above-ground biomass, and comparison with lidar-derived estimates [PDF]
Remote sensing supports carbon estimation, allowing the upscaling of field measurements to large extents. Lidar is considered the premier instrument to estimate above ground biomass, but data are expensive and collected on-demand, with limited spatial ...

Abstract The NASA Atmospheric Waves Experiment (AWE) employs an OH imager that began measurements aboard the International Space Station (ISS) on 22 November 2023. The motivation for AWE was to quantify gravity wave (GW) responses to diverse sources and their influences extending into the mesosphere and higher altitudes.

Microwave scattering and emission properties of large impact craters on the surface of Venus [PDF]
Many of the impact craters on Venus imaged by the Magellan synthetic aperture radar (SAR) have interior floors with oblique incidence angle backscatter cross sections 2 to 16 times (3 dB to 12 dB) greater than the average scattering properties of the ...

Neural Network–Assisted Metasurface Retroreflector With Wide‐Angle Adaptivity
This work proposes a wide‐angle, multi‐polarization, self‐sensing, and self‐adaptive intelligent metasurface retroreflector, with a planar profile and ultrathin thickness. By integrating a pre‐trained artificial neural network (ANN), the metasurface retroreflector can recognize the incident angle and promptly adapt to changes in the incoming wave.
