VAE+DDPG: An Attention‐Enhanced Variational Autoencoder for Deep Reinforcement Learning‐Based Autonomous Navigation in Low‐Light Environments

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Variational Autoencoder+Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient addresses low‐light failures of infrared depth sensing for indoor robot navigation. Stage 1 pretrains an attention‐enhanced Variational Autoencoder (Convolutional Block Attention Module+Feature Pyramid Network) to map dark depth frames to a well‐lit reconstruction, yielding a 128‐D latent code ...

Electromagnetic backscattering by corner reflectors [PDF]

open access: yes
The analysis of the backscatter cross section of a dihedral corner reflector, using Geometrical Theory of Diffraction (GTD) and Physical Theory of Diffraction (PTD), is completed in the azimuthal plane, and very good agreement with experimental results ...

MusicSwarm: Biologically Inspired Intelligence for Music Composition

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Biologically inspired swarms of frozen foundation models self‐organize to compose complex music without fine‐tuning. By coordinating through stigmergic signals, decentralized agents dynamically evolve specialized roles and adapt to solve complex tasks.

Reduction of the radar cross section of arbitrarily shaped cavity structures [PDF]

open access: yes
The problem of the reduction of the radar cross section (RCS) of open-ended cavities was studied. The issues investigated were reduction through lossy coating materials on the inner cavity wall and reduction through shaping of the cavity.

Concentric Rheostat Decoupled 3D Force‐Sensing Module for Smart Table Tennis Training

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
A 3D‐printed sensor array intrinsically decouples normal and shear forces through a unique concentric structural design. By integrating piezoresistive, sliding area‐varying capacitive, and concentric rheostat mechanisms, the 12‐sensor module achieves high‐resolution 3D force mapping without complex algorithms.
