Reassessing Electrolyte Design for Non‐Aqueous Magnesium Batteries: Atomistic Structures and Performance Optimization

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This review systematically examines recent advances in non‐aqueous electrolytes for rechargeable magnesium batteries, focusing on chlorine‐containing and chlorine‐free systems. It highlights the interdependent relationship between electrolyte compositions, atomistic structures, and electrochemical performance.

Mechanically Compliant and Optically Tunable Metal Oxide‐PDMS Nanocomposite Thin Films as a Platform for Flexible Photonic Integration

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) nanocomposite thin films incorporating ZnO and TiO2 nanoparticles, optimized using response surface methodology. The films exhibit tunable refractive index, high transparency, low optical loss, and sub‐MPa mechanical compliance.

Theory and measure of certain image norms in SAR [PDF]

open access: yes, 1984
The principal properties of synthetic aperture radar SAR imagery of point and distributed objects are summarized. Against this background, the response of a SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) to the moving surface of the sea is considered.

Morphology vs. Specific Surface Area: Which Plays the Leading Role in Microwave Absorption?

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
The role of morphology and specific surface area on microwave absorbing characteristics is systematically evaluated and compared. The matrix effect on microwave absorbing performance is studied using polyacetylurea. Implanted carbon nanotubes by red phosphorus and in situ polymerization of polyindole promoted microwave absorption.

Generalized radar/radiometry imaging problems

open access: yes13th International Conference on Microwaves, Radar and Wireless Communications. MIKON - 2000. Conference Proceedings (IEEE Cat. No.00EX428), 2001
In the paper the results of spatio-temporal imaging simulation based on radar, synthetic aperture radar (SAR) and radiometry systems are presented. The analytical relationship between object scattering/emitting and the formed image is given and the general approach for the description of imaging system by means of Frendholm equation solution is ...

Direct Integration of Polycrystalline Diamond With 3C‐SiC for Enhanced Thermal Management in GaN HEMTs: Impact of Grain Structure and Interface Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Polycrystalline diamond (PCD) is directly bonded to 3C‐SiC for GaN HEMTs on a 2‐inch wafer using an advanced room‐temperature process. Despite high thermal conductivity at the growth surface, phonon scattering at the fine‐grained nucleation side raises thermal resistance.
