Narrowing the Kinetic Gap Between Alkaline and Acidic Hydrogen Oxidation Reactions Through Intermediate Behaviors Regulated on D‐p Hybridized Pd‐Based Catalysts

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The significantly narrowed kinetic gap between alkaline and acidic hydrogen oxidation reaction (HOR) can be accomplished by the d‐p hybridized PdGa alloy with modulated electronic structure and optimized reaction intermediate behaviors. Additionally, it can be identified that a pH‐dependent shift in dominant intermediates, transitioning from H/H2O ...

Improving Interlayer Interactions in Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell through Carbon Nanotube‐Based Catalyst Design

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This review highlights how carbon nanotube (CNT)–based catalyst designs enhance proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) performance by improving interlayer interactions. Vertically aligned CNTs facilitate water management, mass transfer, and electron conduction while promoting effective active sites and reducing interfacial resistance.

Activation of Cascade Pathway for Oxygen Reduction via 4f‐3d Orbital Ladder‐Driven Dual‐Site Synergy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The designed Fe3N/CeO2 heterostructure constructs a unique 4f‐3d orbital ladder through Ce─O─Fe coordination, enabling dual orbital coupling and activating both phases. The resulting dual‐site synergistic effect at the heterointerface triggers a cascade mechanism that simultaneously breaks conventional scaling relationships in the ORR and facilitates ...
