Principles of High-Resolution Radar Network for Hazard Mitigation and Disaster Management in an Urban Environment

open access: yes, 2018
The center for the Collaborative Adaptive Sensing of the Atmosphere (CASA) Dallas–Fort Worth (DFW) Urban Demonstration Network consists of a high-resolution X-band radar network and a National Weather Service S-band radar system (i.e., KFWS radar).

Fiber-distributed ultra-wideband radar network based on wavelength reusing transceivers.

open access: yesOptics Express, 2018
A fiber-distributed ultra-wideband (UWB) radar network based on wavelength-reusing transceivers is proposed and demonstrated. In the proposed system, wavelength-division multiplexing technology is applied to connect a central unit (CU) and several ...

Hot Electron‐Assisted Noble‐Metal‐Free Synergistic Photothermal Catalyst for Solar‐Driven Wastewater Remediation and Microbial Disinfection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A multifunctional Bi2Te3@CdS hybrid system is presented for solar‐driven wastewater remediation and indoor disinfection. The catalyst coated on PU foam efficiently harvests visible‐NIR light to generate heat and reactive oxygen species, enabling the rapid mineralization of organic pollutants.

Super‐Robust Telecommunications Enabled by Topological Half‐Supermodes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Through topological half‐supermode engineering, we realize a valley‐ridge gap waveguide that is directly compatible with conventional waveguides and features topological protection. This design halves the lateral size via a PEC boundary, enabling direct TE₁₀‐mode matching and robust bend‐immune transmission.

S3RL: Enhancing Spatial Single‐Cell Transcriptomics With Separable Representation Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Separable Spatial Representation Learning (S3RL) is introduced to enhance the reconstruction of spatial transcriptomic landscapes by disentangling spatial structure and gene expression semantics. By integrating multimodal inputs with graph‐based representation learning and hyperspherical prototype modeling, S3RL enables high‐fidelity spatial domain ...

Gallium Nitride Semiconductor Resonant Tunneling Transistor

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Three‐terminal GaN semiconductor resonant tunneling transistors (RTTs), which comprise an double‐barrier AlN/GaN/AlN resonant tunneling diode integrated with a GaN high‐electron‐mobility transistor (HEMT) through epitaxial growth in series and parallel configuraions, respectively.
