Group delay processing of radar signals

ICASSP '86. IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 2005
A new method of processing the radar signals is presented in this paper. The method is based on the two properties of the magnitude group delay (MGD) function, namely, MGD has high resolution, and it is possible to manipulate different regions of the spectrum independently in the MGD domain.

Signal Processing for Space Surveillance Radar

2022
Space Situational Awareness (SSA) by ground-based Digital-Array Radar (DAR) systems has been attracting global attention in recent years. One of its fundamental tasks is to provide accurate collision forecast between space debris and active satellites, leading to increased avoidance probability.

Approaches to Radar Signal Processing

Computer, 1983
The goal of modern radar signal processing is to improve the accuracy and dependability of detection and measurement in radar systems. In addition to the desired signals, radar systems receive interference and noise signals, many of which can be quite strong. The receiver and associated elements also generate noise.

Waveform Diversity in Radar Signal Processing

IEEE Signal Processing Magazine, 2009
This article shows that suitably transmitted and processed, radar waveforms based on Golay sequences provide new primitives for adaptive transmission that enable better detection and finer resolution, while managing computational complexity at the receiver.

Signal Processing: Radar

2013
Space-time adaptive processing (STAP) is a processing technique operating in the space-time domain that allows the simultaneous cancellation of clutter and jamming via the computation of a 2D cancellation filter.

Signal processing for automotive radar

IEEE International Radar Conference, 2005., 2005
With rising accident rates, researchers are looking for solutions to reduce fatalities. Some enhance car designs to protect drivers more adequately. Some propose improvements to the traffic and road systems to reduce the chances of accidents. Still others propose the installation of special gadgets to improve the situational awareness of drivers and to

Applications of Bootstrap in Radar Signal Processing

2015
The bootstrap technique is a powerful method for assessing the accuracy of parameters estimator, that have been widely applied on statistical and signal processing problems. A novel program based on bootstrap for DOA estimation is performed to compared with different number of snapshots in this paper. We have resampled the received signals for 200-1000

Digital signal processing in airborne radar

Digital Signal Processing, 1992
My introduction to the real world of radar digital signal processing occurred in 1959. Our airborne radar design team at General Electric had contracted to design and produce an advanced airborne surveillance radar for the U.S. Navy Hawkeye aircraft (E2A).

Radar Signal Processing

1978
Publisher Summary This chapter explores that, considerable progress has been made in radar signal processing. This progress is directly traceable to the lowered cost and increased speed of digital hardware and computers and to more sophisticated techniques in the areas of adaptive processing and tracking systems.

Optimum radar signal processing in clutter

IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 1968
This paper considers the joint optimization of a class of radar signals and filters in a number of clutter-pins-noise environments. The radar signal processor in this case will be optimum in the sense that its output at the time of target detection yields the maximum ratio of peak signal power to total interference power.
