High‐Entropy Chemical Composition Design for Ultrahigh Capacitive Energy Storage

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 9, 13 February 2026.
La‐donor doping suppresses defect charges and reduces domain size via local random fields. Conversely, NaNbO3 addition in BNT‐based ceramics stabilizes the orthorhombic phase. This creates R‐O‐T multiphase polar nanoregions within a cubic matrix, which lowers the energy barrier, delays polarization saturation, and enables a high breakdown strength ...

Closed-Form Waveform Design for MIMO Radar Transmit Beampattern Synthesis via Integral Equality

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Recently, due to the adequate use of waveform diversity, MIMO technology has been widely adopted, resulting in the waveform design for MIMO radar beampattern synthesis becoming a hot issue. However, most previous works regarding this problem optimize the

Same/Other/All K‐Fold Cross‐Validation for Estimating Similarity of Patterns in Data Subsets

open access: yesStatistical Analysis and Data Mining: An ASA Data Science Journal, Volume 19, Issue 1, February 2026.
ABSTRACT In many real‐world applications of machine learning, we are interested to know if it is possible to train on the data that we have gathered so far, and obtain accurate predictions on a new test data subset that is qualitatively different in some respect (time period, geographic region, etc.).

Adaptive radar phase-coded waveform design

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2009
A simple and successful design for an adaptive radar phase-coded waveform is presented. The optimised phase-coded waveform is designed by the phase-only conjugate gradient method. The signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio of the optimised phase-coded waveform is compared with an optimal waveform and good approximation is achieved.

Evaluating SWOT in the Coastal Zone: Comparisons With Tide Gauge and Airborne LiDAR in the Bristol Channel and Severn Estuary, UK

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 2, 28 January 2026.
Abstract Traditional nadir altimeters struggle with coastal water surface elevation (WSE) measurement and fine‐scale river‐estuary interactions, due to land‐water signal interference and their wide inter‐track spacing. The wide‐swath Surface Water and Ocean Topography (SWOT) mission, using a new Ka‐band radar interferometer, aims to address these ...

Supershear Transitions and Bilateral Asymmetric Rupture of the 2025 Sagaing (Myanmar) Earthquake Revealed by Geodetic and Seismic Observations

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 2, 28 January 2026.
Abstract The Sagaing Fault (SF) accommodates major plate motion in Myanmar, yet large earthquakes along it have rarely been captured by modern geodetic and seismic observations. The 2025 Sagaing earthquake generated an exceptionally long rupture (∼535 km), offering a rare opportunity to investigate rupture dynamics along continental transform fault. We

Cognitive Radar Waveform Optimization Based on Mutual Information and Kalman filtering

open access: yesEntropy, 2018
A new strategy to optimizing the waveforms of cognitive radar under transmitted power constraint is presented. Our scheme is to enhance the performance of target estimation by minimizing the MSE (mean-square error) of the estimates of target scattering ...
