Doppler sensitivity of MIMO radar waveforms
IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems, 2016Doppler sensitivity of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar waveforms is complicated but rarely is of concern in most existing MIMO waveform designs. For both distributed and colocated MIMO radar, this paper studies the impact of Doppler sensitivity on both autocorrelation and mutual correlation sidelobes of both constant-modulus MIMO transmit ...

Frequency Coded Waveforms for Adaptive Waveform Radar
2006 40th Annual Conference on Information Sciences and Systems, 2006We consider the use of frequency coded sequences for adaptive waveform radar. In particular, we investigate the joint use of stepped frequency chirps, Costas sequences, and pushing sequences to form an effective signal set for adaptive waveform radar.

An MSK Waveform for Radar Applications
GLOBECOM 2009 - 2009 IEEE Global Telecommunications Conference, 2009We introduce a minimum shift keying (MSK) waveform developed for use in radar applications. This waveform is characterized in terms of its spectrum, autocorrelation, and ambiguity function, and is compared with the conventionally used bi-phase coded (BPC) radar signal.

Waveform optimization for FDA Radar
2019 27th European Signal Processing Conference (EUSIPCO), 2019This paper addresses the problem of transmit signal design for target localization in a frequency diverse array (FDA) radar. For this purpose, we derive the Cramer-Rao bound (CRB) for target localization in FDA radar. The derived CRB is optimized with respect to the transmit signal parameters.

Automatic Radar Waveform Recognition
IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Signal Processing, 2007In this paper, a system for automatically recognizing radar waveforms is introduced. This type of techniques are needed in various spectrum management, surveillance and cognitive radio or radar applications. The intercepted radar signal is classified to eight classes based on the pulse compression waveform: linear frequency modulation (LFM), discrete ...

Robust Waveform Design for MIMO Radars
IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, 2011The problem of robust waveform design for multiple-input, multiple-output radars equipped with widely spaced antennas is addressed here. Robust design is needed as a number of parameters may be unknown, e.g., the target scattering covariance matrix and the disturbance covariance matrix.

A novel method of anti deceiving jamming is proposed. Normal radar waveform is vulnerable to jammer's interception and analysis. If modify the phase of normal waveform according to minimum correlation between the primitive and modified one, and if the phase varying is minor, the jammer may not perceive it and still transmit the intercepted normal ...

A stepped frequency continuous wave radar for detecting flush buried and surface laid anti personnel landmines was designed and built. The system covers a frequency band from 400 MHz up to 4845 MHz. The range resolution is 3.4 cm and the maximum unambiguous range is 4.3 m. The antenna set up is a bi-static one with two Archimedean spirals with opposite
