Complex-valued symmetric radial basis function network for beamforming
The complex-valued radial basis function (RBF) network proposed by Chen et al. (1994) has found many applications for processing complex-valued signals, in particular, for communication channel equalization and signal detection.

This study explores the discrepancies between bulk mechanics and spatial mapping in a tissue‐mimetic hydrogel model. Microplastic particles create localized stiff mechanical microenvironments that are detectable by cellular‐scale nanoindentation but leave bulk properties unchanged as measured by rheology.

Existence and nonexistence of solutions for semilinear equations on exterior domains
In this article we study radial solutions of $\Delta u + K(r)f(u)= 0$ on the exterior of the ball of radius R>0 centered at the origin in ${\mathbb R}^{N}$ where f is odd with f0 on $(\beta, \delta)$, $f\equiv 0$ for $u> \delta$, and where the ...

Early and Late Repair after High-level Peripheral Nerve Injury in the Upper Extremity
Background: There are several methods developed for the treatment of high-level peripheral nerve injury (HLPNI) in the upper extremity. However, it causes significant loss of motor functions and sensory defects for the patients, and it is a challenging ...

Explaining Adaptive Radial-Based Direction Sampling [PDF]
In this short paper we summarize the computational steps of Adaptive Radial-Based Direction Sampling (ARDS), which can be used for Bayesian analysis of ill behaved target densities.

Fracture dislocation of the radial head: radial head excision or replacement [PDF]
A case of 28-year-old man with closed fracture dislocation of the radial head following a fall from height is reported. He was treated with radial head excision.

Binder‐free laser powder bed fusion of 8YSZ with a femtosecond laser is used to map process windows linking scan strategy, heat accumulation, and grain growth. Time‐resolved thermography and simulations reveal thermal regimes that enable continuous, vitrified, and fine‐grained 8YSZ surface layers without absorptive additives and demonstrate ...

Existence and nonexistence of solutions for sublinear equations on exterior domains
In this article we study radial solutions of $\Delta u + K(r)f(u)= 0$ on the exterior of the ball of radius R>0, $B_{R}$, centered at the origin in ${\mathbb R}^{N}$ with u=0 on $\partial B_{R}$ where f is odd with f0 on $(\beta, \infty)$, $f(u)\sim u^

CT‐based finite element simulations combined with in situ X‐ray computed tomography are used to analyze insert pull‐out in nickel‐coated polymer foams. Despite variations in material parameters, deformation consistently concentrates within a narrow annular region around the insert.
