Radial artery pseudoaneurysm

open access: yesJournal of Indian College of Cardiology, 2016
Abstract We report a rare complication of a patient who underwent angioplasty via radial access and developed a pseudo-aneurysm after 2 weeks. Ultrasound guided treatment failed and surgical correction was finally required to treat this complication. Only isolated cases of surgical correction of radial artery pseudo-aneurysm have been reported.

Comparison of reduced models for blood flow using Runge-Kutta discontinuous Galerkin methods

open access: yes, 2016
One-dimensional blood flow models take the general form of nonlinear hyperbolic systems but differ greatly in their formulation. One class of models considers the physically conserved quantities of mass and momentum, while another class describes mass ...

A Novel Self‐Regulated, Non‐Directional Magnetic Thermos‐Brachytherapy 125I Seed Enhances Anticancer Efficacy by Rescuing Immune Escape

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work constructs magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) and incorporates them with silver rods coated with 125I to form a novel composite seed, which exhibits direction‐independent and self‐regulated heating efficiency, as well as the capacity of preventing MNPs leakage and enabling repeated hyperthermia.
