DOPF of radial distribution network based on ADMM

2017 Chinese Automation Congress (CAC), 2017
For controlling distributed controllable units in radial distribution networks, a method based on alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM) for dynamic distributed optimal power flow (DOPF) is designed. The convex DistFlow model for power flow is spitted into two layers.

Graphics Aided Interactive Analysis of Radial Distribution Networks

IEEE Power Engineering Review, 1987
This paper presents an interactive graphics package for distribution system analysis. The radial operation of the distribution networks is exploited in order to effect a fast and accurate calculation of the power flows, the voltage drops and the power losses at the various segments of a feeder for a given set of typical load curves.

Distributed Load Control in Multiphase Radial Networks

2015
The current power grid is on the cusp of modernization due to the emergence of distributed generation and controllable loads, as well as renewable energy. On one hand, distributed and renewable generation is volatile and difficult to dispatch. On the other hand, controllable loads provide significant potential for compensating for the uncertainties. In

Multi-conductor feeder design for radial distribution networks

Electric Power Systems Research, 2016
Abstract A generalized model for choice of the optimal size of the ACSR type of conductor for each feeder segment is presented as an optimization problem using an efficient method based on branch wise minimization technique. The optimal conductors’ sizes are determined by minimizing an objective function (total cost comprising of conductor ...

Distributed Representations in Radial Basis Function Networks

1998
This chapter locates Gaussian radial basis function (RBF) networks within the school of connectionist modelling that has successfully exploited the properties of multi layer perceptrons (MLPs). In particular, the highly regarded use of distributed representations in MLPs is established in RBF networks.
