Polymorph‐Specific Electronic Transduction in WO3 during Molecular Sensing
Metal‐oxide polymorphs with similar surface chemistry can nevertheless exhibit distinct sensing properties. In γ‐ and ε‐WO3, analyte adsorption appears comparable; yet, only ε‐WO3 induces a pronounced lattice electronic perturbation that accommodates charge in sub‐conduction band minimum states.

Generalized Radial Flow in Synthetic Flow Systems
Groundwater, 2012Traditional analysis methods used to determine hydraulic properties from pumping tests work well in many porous media aquifers, but they often do not work in heterogeneous and fractured‐rock aquifers, producing non‐plausible and erroneous results. The generalized radial flow model developed by Barker (1988) can reveal information about heterogeneity ...

A theory for radial jet reattachment flow
1st National Fluid Dynamics Conference, 1988Both laminar and turbulent flows are considered. A component analysis is used for the theoretical treatment. The jet flow component is modeled with Schlichting's velocity profile for the laminar case and with Gortler's velocity profile for the turbulence case. The influence of the nozzle exit geometry and the spacing between the radial jet and the flat
