Residual Stress States in Microstructurally Graded PBF–LB/M Austenitic Steel Components

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study examines microstructurally graded 316L rectangular tube profiles fabricated via PBF–LB/M using a dual‐laser system. A 1 kW top‐hat and a 400 W Gaussian laser create distinct grain sizes and crystallographic texture. Mechanical properties are linked to microstructural evolution driven by processing conditions.

PRESSURE AND PRESSURE DERIVATIVE ANALYSIS FOR VERTICAL GAS AND OIL WELLS IN STRESS SENSITIVE HOMOGENEOUS AND NATURALLY FRACTURED FORMATIONS WITHOUT TYPE-CURVE MATCHING Analisis de la presión y derivada de presión para pozos verticales de gas y petróleo en formaciones homogéneas y naturalmente fracturadas sensibles a los esfuerzos

open access: yesCT&F Ciencia, Tecnología & Futuro, 2007
Currently, rock mechanics plays an important role in the oil industry. Effects of reservoir subsidence, compaction and dilation are being taken into account in modern reservoir management of complex systems.

Holographic thermalization with radial flow

open access: yes, 2013
Recently, a lot of effort has been put into describing the thermalization of the quark-gluon plasma using the gauge/gravity duality. In this context we here present a full numerical solution of the early far-from-equilibrium formation of the plasma ...

New Developments in the Field of Production and Application of Multi‐Material Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing Components: A Review

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The utilization of direct energy deposition (DED)‐arc additive manufacturing processes in industrial applications is increasing, and these processes have the potential for multi‐material applications. This work provides a overview of the state of research in DED‐arc made functional graded structures, to establish a link to potential industrial ...

DETERMINATION OF VERTICAL AND HORIZONTAL PERMEABILITIES FOR VERTICAL OIL AND GAS WELLS WITH PARTIAL COMPLETION AND PARTIAL PENETRATION USING PRESSURE AND PRESSURE DERIVATIVE PLOTS WITHOUT TYPE-CURVE MATCHING DETERMINACIÓN DE PERMEABILIDADES VERTICAL Y HORIZONTAL EN POZOS VERTICALES DE GAS Y PETRÓLEO, CON COMPLETAMIENTO Y PENETRACIÓN PARCIAL A PARTIR DE PLOTEOS DE PRESIÓN Y PRESIÓN DERIVADA, SIN AJUSTE TIPO CURVA

open access: yesCT&F Ciencia, Tecnología & Futuro, 2005
it has been long recognized that in some reservoirs the flow does not follow the expected radial cylindrical pattern. Spherical flow may take place in systems with wells completed in thick reservoirs where a short completion interval is open to flow ...

Radial flow has little effect on clusterization at intermediate energies in the framework of the Lattice Gas Model

open access: yes, 2004
The Lattice Gas Model was extended to incorporate the effect of radial flow. Contrary to popular belief, radial flow has little effect on the clusterization process in intermediate energy heavy-ion collisions except adding an ordered motion to the ...

Effect of Wedge-Shaped Deflectors on Flow Fields of Dual-Stream Jets [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The effect of wedge-shaped fan flow deflectors on the mean and turbulent flow-fields of dual-stream jets is investigated. Several wedge-shaped deflector concepts were used to create asymmetry in the plume of a dual-stream jet issuing from a scaled down ...

Laser Metal Deposited Ti4822 Hollow Pipe: Experimental and Computational Modelling Study

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Laser metal deposition (LMD) of a crack‐free built Ti4822 alloys is challenging. This article reports outstanding characteristics of a hollow pipe that is built with LMD technology when a predicted, nontransformation substrate temperature of 800 °C is used.

Scaling Properties of Spectra in New Exact Solutions of Rotating, Multi-Component Fireball Hydrodynamics

open access: yesUniverse, 2018
We describe fireballs that rehadronize from a perfect fluid of quark matter, characterized by the lattice QCD equation of state, to a chemically frozen, multi-component mixture, that contains various kinds of observable hadrons.
