Composites of Shellac and Silver Nanowires as Flexible, Biobased, and Corrosion‐Resistant Transparent Conductive Electrodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Shellac, a centuries‐old natural resin, is reimagined as a green material for flexible electronics. When combined with silver nanowires, shellac films deliver transparency, conductivity, and stability against humidity. These results position shellac as a sustainable alternative to synthetic polymers for transparent conductors in next‐generation ...

Analysis and Suppression of Nonswitching High‐Frequency Band Vibration in Fractional‐Slot Concentrated‐Winding Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machines

open access: yesIET Electric Power Applications
Traditionally, it is well known that the lowest‐order and the pole‐order (2pth‐order) radial forces play a leading role in the vibration response of fractional‐slot concentrated‐winding (FSCW) permanent magnet synchronous machines (PMSMs).

Positive‐Tone Nanolithography of Antimony Trisulfide with Femtosecond Laser Wet‐Etching

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A butyldithiocarbamic acid (BDCA) etchant is used to fabricate various micro‐ and nanoscale structures on amorphous antimony trisulfide (a‐Sb2S3) thin film via femtosecond laser etching. Numerical analysis and experimental results elucidate the patterning mechanism on gold (reflective) and quartz (transmissive) substrates.

Decoupling Size and Electronic Effects in Doped SrTiO3 Photocatalysts Through Surface Area–Normalized CO2 Hydrogenation Rates

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Exploring the photocatalytic reverse water–gas shift (RWGS) reaction on doped SrTiO3 nanoparticle films, reveals that normalizing catalytic rates by the catalyst's specific surface area (SSA) disentangled surface area effects from the catalyst's intrinsic material properties.

Analytical Calculation and Verification of Radial Electromagnetic Force Under Multi-Type Air Gap Eccentricity of Hub Motor

open access: yesWorld Electric Vehicle Journal
This paper presents a method for calculating radial forces in switched reluctance motors (SRMs) under radial and tilted air gap eccentricity states. Firstly, the Fourier series method is used to establish a nonlinear model of a switched reluctance motor,

Radially anisotropic systems with $r^{-\alpha}$ forces: equilibrium states

open access: yes, 2015
We continue the study of collisionless systems governed by additive $r^{-\alpha}$ interparticle forces by focusing on the influence of the force exponent $\alpha$ on radial orbital anisotropy. In this preparatory work we construct the radially anisotropic Osipkov-Merritt phase-space distribution functions for self-consistent spherical Hernquist models ...

Biomimetic Iridescent Skin: Robust Prototissues Spontaneously Assembled from Photonic Protocells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Uniform nanoparticles are induced to form arrays (photonic crystals) in the cores of biopolymer capsules, endowing these ‘protocells’ with structural color. These protocells are then assembled into large self‐standing objects, i.e., prototissues, with robust mechanical properties as well as iridescent optical properties.
