Influence of an Oxygen‐Free Atmosphere on Diamond‐Single‐Grain Scratching of Ti–6Al–4V
Single‐grain scratching of Ti–6Al–4V is investigated under controlled, oxygen‐free, and ambient atmospheres using a novel experimental setup with in situ high‐speed imaging. The approach enables direct observation of chip formation and adhesion under suppressed oxidation.

Radial growth of the derivative of univalent functions
Let the function \(f(z)=z+a_ 2z^ 2+..\). be analytic univalent in \(| z| \frac{1}{2}.\) the authors prove the following very interesting and useful results: \[ (1)\quad\int^{2\pi}_{0}|\log | f'(re^{i\theta})||^{\lambda}d\theta

Using the local gyrokinetic code, GS2, to investigate global ITG modes in tokamaks. (I) s-${\alpha}$ model with profile and flow shear effects [PDF]
This paper combines results from a local gyrokinetic code with analytical theory to reconstruct the global eigenmode structure of the linearly unstable ion-temperature-gradient (ITG) mode with adiabatic electrons.

New features on yttria‐stabilized zirconia after exposure at 1500°C: Newly discovered pyramidal structures on an old material. After exposure at 1550°C on the cross section of YSZ new features, namely pyramidal structures are discovered. These structures grow with time, increase in numbers, appear as singularities, are often arranged in strings, and ...
