Single-spin scanning magnetic microscopy with radial basis function reconstruction algorithm

open access: yes, 2020
Exotic magnetic structures, such as magnetic skyrmions and domain walls, are becoming more important in nitrogen-vacancy center scanning magnetometry. However, a systematic imaging approach to mapping stray fields with fluctuation of several milliteslas ...

Development of Sustainable MgO–C Refractories Using MgO–C Recyclates and a Novel Eco‐Friendly Fructose–Tannin Binder Crosslinked With Citric Acid

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study develops sustainable MgO–C refractories using recycled materials and eco‐friendly fructose–tannin binders. The enhanced performance of citric acid as a cross‐linker and functional additives on mechanical and thermomechanical properties was examined. Characterization included strength tests, immersion trials, and microstructural and inclusion

Dynamics of clumps embedded in a hot accretion flow with toroidal magnetic field

open access: yes, 2014
Dynamics of clumps within a magnetized advection dominated accretion flow is investigated by solving the collisionless Boltzmann equation and considering the drag force due to the relative velocity between the clumps and the gas.

An Experimental High‐Throughput Approach for the Screening of Hard Magnet Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An entire workflow for the high‐throughput characterization and analysis of compositionally graded magnetic films is presented. Characterization protocols, data management tools and data analysis approaches are illustrated with test case Sm(Fe, V)12 based films.

Stability of Radial Flow Subjected to a Radial Magnetic Field

open access: yesRajshahi University Journal of Science, 2013
The linear stability of radial flow of a viscous fluid in the presence of a radial magnetic field is investigated. Basic velocity field q0 = (c/r,0,W) and magnetic field B0= (A/r,0,0) are considered in an annulus between two concentric cylinders. To analyze hydro-magnetic stability, inner product method is employed.

Radial heliospheric magnetic fields detected by Ulysses [PDF]

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, 1998
The magnetometer aboard the Ulysses spacecraft has recorded numerous examples of heliospheric magnetic fields orientated in near‐radial directions for periods of several hours or more. These fields are unusual, as their existence is contrary to the predictions of classical theories concerning solar wind production and propagation.

3D (Bio) Printing Combined Fiber Fabrication Methods for Tissue Engineering Applications: Possibilities and Limitations

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Biofabrication aims at providing innovative technologies and tools for the fabrication of tissue‐like constructs for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. By integrating multiple biofabrication technologies, such as 3D (bio) printing with fiber fabrication methods, it would be more realistic to reconstruct native tissue's ...

Transmission Performance Analysis of Slotted-type Eddy-current Couplers with Radial Misalignment

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 2023
In order to study the transmission performance of slotted-type eddy-current couplers with radial misalignment, based on the theory of the equivalent magnetic charge theory, the copper which cuts the magnetic field line in motion is equivalent to ...

The formation of rings and gaps in magnetically coupled disk-wind systems: ambipolar diffusion and reconnection

open access: yes, 2018
Radial substructures in circumstellar disks are now routinely observed by ALMA. There is also growing evidence that disk winds drive accretion in such disks.

Magnetic Dirichlet Laplacian with radially symmetric magnetic field

open access: yes, 2016
The aim of the paper is to derive spectral estimates on the eigenvalue moments of the magnetic Dirichlet Laplacian defined on the two-dimensional disk with a radially symmetric magnetic field.
